The 1834 Capped Bust Quarter was struck in 89.24% silver and 10.76% copper and designed by William Kneass, building on John Reich’s original design. The obverse depicts Liberty wearing a cap inscribed “LIBERTY,” framed by thirteen stars, while the reverse features a heraldic eagle with a shield on its breast, clutching arrows and an olive branch. Certified AU50 by PCGS with the Blue Label, this coin shows light wear on the high points but retains sharp detail and much of its original luster.
